GBF PRESIDENT BACKS NEW CHAMPIONS TO CONQUER AFRICA AND THE WORLD – KA Sports Boxing

The President of the Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF), Dauda Fuseini, has expressed strong confidence in Ghana’s amateur boxers after witnessing the thrilling finals of the National Individual Amateur Boxing Championship at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

Speaking in an interview with KA Sport Boxing after the event, Mr. Fuseini said he was highly impressed with the technical quality and overall performance of the fighters. According to him, the boxers demonstrated discipline, skill, and proper preparation throughout the competition.

“Of course, I am very impressed with the performance tonight. They did wonderfully well,” he stated. “I am not surprised because we gave them enough time to prepare, and they proved that they were truly ready for this championship.”

The GBF President believes the current crop of champions has what it takes to compete at both continental and global levels if given the right support. He emphasized that with a little more investment in preparation, the team can make a strong statement beyond Ghana’s borders.

Mr. Fuseini therefore appealed to government and key stakeholders to provide the necessary financial backing to enable the Federation to adequately prepare the team and deliver medals for the nation.

In total, 12 champions have earned places on the national team and are expected to begin non-residential camping immediately as they gear up for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
