WALDORF, MD. — Two undefeated fighters entered the ring looking to make a statement. When the final decision was announced, neither had surrendered his unbeaten record.

Malik Smalls and Fabio Liberati battled to a draw in the main event of Davis Boxing Promotions’ Waldorf Boxing Pro-Series II on Saturday, August 15, at the Capital Clubhouse in Waldorf, Maryland, capping a seven-bout professional card that showcased prospects from the DMV and beyond.

The highly anticipated super featherweight main event matched Baltimore’s Smalls, who entered the night at 4-0, against Italy’s Liberati, who arrived with a 7-0 professional record.

With both men putting perfect records on the line, the fight represented a significant step up for two developing prospects.

In the end, the judges could not separate them. The draw means Smalls moves to 4-0-1, while Liberati leaves Maryland at 7-0-1. More importantly, both fighters leave Waldorf having faced the type of competitive test that can become invaluable as their professional careers progress.

Aryeetey Hands Paredes His First Defeat

Mohammed Aryeetey scored one of the night’s significant victories, defeating previously unbeaten Johnny Paredes in their super flyweight contest. Aryeetey entered the bout with an 11-1-1 record and considerably more professional experience than Paredes, who came into Waldorf at 2-0.

That experience ultimately translated into another victory for Aryeetey, improving his professional record to 12-1-1 while handing Paredes the first defeat of his career. For Aryeetey, the victory represents another important step as he continues to build his professional résumé.

Daly Gets Back in the Win Column

Shakell Daly also emerged victorious, defeating Alejandro Herrera in their featherweight contest. Daly entered the evening at 6-1, while Herrera brought a 5-7-1 record and significantly more professional experience into the matchup. Daly’s victory improves him to 7-1 and gives him another win as he looks to continue moving forward in the featherweight division.

Russell Remains Perfect

Baltimore’s Deontrey Russell continued the unbeaten start to his professional career with a victory over Manuel Lerma Guerrero. Russell entered the super bantamweight contest at 4-0, facing a Guerrero who came in at 0-2-1. Russell took care of business and improved to 5-0, keeping his perfect professional record intact. The victory also continued an impressive early trend in Russell’s career: he remains undefeated as he continues developing on the Maryland boxing scene.

Fuller Adds Another Victory

In super welterweight action, Tremaine “Teddy” Fuller defeated Elliott Hicks. Fuller entered the contest at 5-1, while Hicks came in at 2-2-1. The matchup featured two southpaws, but it was Fuller who emerged with the victory, moving his professional record to 6-1. The win continues a strong stretch for Fuller, who has now put together victories after the lone defeat of his professional career.

Miguel Stays Unbeaten at Heavyweight

Heavyweight prospect Demalik Miguel continued his undefeated professional start with a victory over Dariel Sanchez. Miguel entered the ring at 1-0, while Sanchez brought a 1-8 record into the contest. Miguel secured his second professional victory and improved to 2-0, keeping his unbeaten record intact as the 22-year-old continues the early stages of his heavyweight career.

Singleton Wins Professional Debut

One of the most important nights of the event belonged to Jisaya Singleton. The 19-year-old made his professional debut against Rogelio Gabriel Javier, who entered the contest with four professional fights already behind him. Singleton successfully made the transition into the professional ranks, earning the victory over Javier and beginning his career at 1-0. Every professional fighter remembers his debut. For Singleton, August 15, 2026, will now be remembered as the night he earned professional victory No. 1.

A Strong Night of Professional Boxing in Waldorf

From Singleton beginning his professional journey to established prospects adding victories, Waldorf Boxing Pro-Series II provided a platform for fighters at several different stages of their careers. Aryeetey added another victory to his résumé. Daly moved forward after his lone professional setback. Russell and Miguel protected their undefeated records. Fuller continued his winning momentum. Singleton began his professional career with a victory.

And in the main event, the two undefeated fighters who entered the night with a combined 11-0 record ultimately left the Capital Clubhouse still unbeaten.

Malik Smalls and Fabio Liberati may have entered Waldorf looking to determine whose “0” would disappear. Instead, their rivalry ended with unfinished business. Smalls is now 4-0-1. Liberati is now 7-0-1.

Perhaps the biggest question coming out of Waldorf Boxing Pro-Series II is therefore the simplest one: Will they do it again?

The August 15 event was promoted by Davis Boxing Promotions and held at the Capital Clubhouse in Waldorf, Maryland, continuing the promotion’s effort to provide opportunities for emerging professional fighters in the DMV region.

The event was streamed and produced by KA Sports Boxing, bringing the night’s action from Waldorf to boxing fans beyond the venue.
