The Rise Continues,Theophilus Allotey defeats Namibian to become the new WBA Africa super Flyweight Champion – KA Sports Boxing

Ghanaian boxer Theophilus Kpakpo Allotey, popularly known as Theo Lopez defeated Namibia’s Jonas Erastus to win the WBA African Super Flyweight title at the BUKOM Boxing Arena in Accra.

In the headline bout of the Legacy Rise event, Lopez secured victory with a seventh-round technical knockout after referee Roger Banor stepped in to stop the fight, protecting Erastus from further punishment.

Despite suffering a cut above his right eye in the second round, Allotey remained composed and dominant throughout the contest, eventually sealing the win in round seven. The victory marks his fifth career title in less than two years since turning professional.

Allotey currently holds WBO Africa Bantamweight title 2025, WBO Africa Superfly Weight title 2025, National and UBO Africa titles in Ghana, all after winning bronze medal at the 2023 all African games.
